I am currently located in the United States. We are about to start sending people to China for studies. We are uncertain how this would affect us and how we can keep it as secure as possible and legal. They would connect back to our services here in the U.S.

    When sending people to China for studies while ensuring security and legal compliance, several considerations should be taken into account:

    Data Security and Privacy Laws: China has strict regulations regarding data security and privacy, including the Cybersecurity Law and the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). Ensure that any data transmitted between China and the US complies with these regulations. Consider implementing encryption and other security measures to protect sensitive data.

    Network Security: China's internet infrastructure is subject to censorship and monitoring. Utilize virtual private networks (VPNs) to ensure secure and private communication between your employees in China and your services in the US. However, note that VPN usage is regulated in China, so choose a VPN service that complies with Chinese regulations.

    Device Security: Provide employees traveling to China with secure devices that are encrypted and protected with strong passwords. Implement mobile device management (MDM) solutions to remotely manage and secure devices, including enforcing security policies and remotely wiping devices if necessary.

    @UniRealCS, Thanks for the reply. Based as i know, the licenses for Microsoft Intune are available for different customer needs and organization sizes, including for use in China. So your Intune license for users should work in China.

    Meanwhile, as Google Mobile Services (GMS) and Android Enterprise are not available in China. The Android Enterprise enrolled deices may be affected when it connects to Internet in China.
