Hyper-V VM network card problem

Hello,

We have a virtualised environment running Windows Server 2022.

I have four 1Gb/s physical network cards, which are configured together to form a virtual hyper-V network card for our VMs.

I have two VMs, one AD and another for RDS.

On the RDS VM at certain times we lose the internet connection, no ping 8.8.8.8, no more dns however it doesn't disconnect the RDS users.

On the second VM there is no problem.

We've already done quite a few unsuccessful tests, such as VMQ, driver update, trying a second network card aggregation etc etc.

Do you have any ideas?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

To further troubleshoot this issue, please kindly try:

1.Run CMD command ipconfig/all to display the IP configuration on RDS server.

2.Start a network monitor or wireshark when issue reproduces to capture the traffic.

3.During issue time, please also run

    ping 8.8.8.8

    telnet 8.8.8.8

    nslookup google.com

    and check the output.

4.Stop the network monitor or wireshark and save the network trace captured.

5.Filter the traffic inside and see if there's any insights.

Hope this answer can help you well.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
