SQL server backup in a 2019 VM to s3 using backup URL

Hi I have set up a Windows Server 2019 VM with SQL server 2016. I want to take the backup of SQL server in AWS S3. It should have monitoring and auditing capability and cost effective and secure. I have looked at below link.https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/backup-restore/sql-server-backup-and-restore-with-s3-compatible-object-storage?view=sql-server-ver16 . It mentions that it uses SQL server uses s3 connector to use backup URL integration. Can this be implemented or installed separately to backup SQL server data to s3 with windows server 2019 VM and SQL server 2019 ?

    Thanks for your information.

    Perhaps you didn't notice that the Backup to URL feature to an S3-compatible object storage is only supported in SQL Server 2022, prior versions are not supported.
