Delete post in general channel

Question

I am an owner of this team and am able to delete messages, but not the post as a whole. There is no option for it, and I have not found the answer online. Though the contents have been deleted, the post still takes up space in the channel with text reading "message deleted". How do I get rid of this empty post to clean up my channel?

I am afraid the system generated messages cannot be removed in General channel.
