VS Version 17.9.4. Ctrl+Tab locks the "special "buttons. Note that the alpha characters are working, but not some "special" buttons such as backspace, delete, arrows. My colleague have the same problem. I suspect the issue arise when pressing ctrl+tab. It seems like the special characters are sent to the view that the ctrl+tab changed from, and continues changes that view!

I wrote another issue about this since now I found its changing in another tab, which is clearly unexpected and can cause alot of problems.

    Hi @Markus Enberg

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

It seems be fixed in preview release. You can verify it on Visual Studio 2022 version 17.10 Preview.

    Refer to:

Selecting a document with Ctrl+Tab sometimes moves focus to the wrong place - Developer Community (visualstudio.com)

Text editor don't always register change of tabs - Developer Community (visualstudio.com)

    Sincerely,
