cannot find data for connection type

I have 2303 patch stated as installed but in the detailed status i saw the Installation status is Failed with only the Start Configuration_manager_update service as failed

The description is :FAΙLED starting Configuration_manager_Update.Check the hman.log

The logs states

CSql Error: Cannot find data for connection type ...... cannot get a connection

any suggestions ?

    a little update regarding the issue.

    The update issue is not related to the sql connection error....

    Delete the SQL the related package ( packageguid=xxxx)

    restart the executive service.

    check for updates

    download and install

    worked for 2303 and 2303 hotfix

    the cmupdate tool couldn't delete the package since the update was stuck in replication step

    Unfortunately its not working,

    is seems the problem is not caused from the user/pass

    The sql is started successfully so and the sccm console, the only problem is installing the updates.

    I tried to install 2303 hotfix rollup, it has successfully downloaded but the option to install it is grey out.

    In the detailed status has only completed the download step
