Is it possible to create a policy to tag VM extensions via inherit tags from resource group policy?

Hello

Yes this is possible with the built-in policy for inherit tags from resource group, "Inherit a tag from the resource group".

There is a new preview function that lets you scope what resource type it should apply to when you do the assignment.
