Issue with Computer Authentication for SSID via 802.1x settings using wrong certificate

I am trying to get 802.1x authentication to work correctly. When I select the 802.1x setting to Computer authenticated, it seems that windows might be sending the wrong certificate. I have 4 different certificates in that store, but only one is for the SSID authentication. How does this work, will it try all the certificates, or does it just try the first and stop? Is there a way to tell Windows which certificate to use on this?

    Windows doesn't try all certificates.

    It uses the first certificate it finds in the personal certificate store that matches the requirements for the network.

    Windows doesn't provide a built-in way to explicitly choose a certificate for 802.1x authentication on your computer. You can configure it manually, also automate the configuration through Microsoft Intune.
