    Hi @IniobongNkanga-8038,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Have you clicked the "sync" button in SharePoint Online? This button will synchronize the contents of the SharePoint file library to OneDrive.

Here are the steps to resolve the issue:

    1. Log in to the OneDrive App, and please maintain the same account as SharePoint Online.
    2. Click the gear button to select Settings.

    User's image

    1. You can see the SharePoint file library you synchronized under your account. Click "stop sync" button.

In order to prevent accidentally clicking the sync button later, we can remove this button at the library level and site level. You can set it up according to your needs.

Option 1: Disable sync at the library level

1.Navigate to the library where you want to disable sync, then click Gear Icon > Library Settings.

    2.Click on Advanced Settings.

3.Scroll down to the middle of the page, and under Offline Client Availability, select No (default is Yes)

    4.Click OK at the bottom.

5.You will now notice that the library lacks a Sync Button.

Option 2: Disable sync at the Site level (Please use a site administrator account or a site owner account)

1.Navigate to the site where you want to disable synchronization. Click Gear Icon > Site Information. Click View all site settings.

2.Click on Search and offline availability under Search.

3.Under Offline Client Availability select No (default is Yes).

4.Click OK at the bottom of the page.

5.Just like with Library changes above, you will see the Sync button disappear from the library (or all libraries located on this site).
