Hi

We have a partner organization (external M365 tenant) and we want them to be able to reserve meeting rooms using our room resource calendars.

After I create an organizational relationship using instructions from here

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/sharing/organization-relationships/organization-relationships

how can partner organization users open our room calendars and see the availability of our room resources??

And is there a way to set a restriction that partner organization users can see only room calendars but not user calendars?

    I found below blog

    https://www.meetio.com/resources/guides/share-room-calendar-external-users-exchange/

and it suggests, if I understood correctly, that user in partner tenant should be able to open our room calendar by adding a calendar by typing the room email address but this doesn't seem to be working. In this situation, user gets error message "Could not add xxx calendar. You may not have permissions.".

We tried to add from directory via Outlook on the web using partner tenants user account and in "Select a person...", we typed our room email address.

    Hi @IMK,

According to your description, you got an error “You may not have permissions” when you add calendar.

The organization relationship is only one part. If you want to allow users to share out their calendars with external users, you need to set up a sharing policy.

Within the policy, create a new sharing rule, specifying the domains to share with and the level of sharing to support as shown below, and then save the policy.

You could refer to Create a sharing policy in Exchange Online | Microsoft Learn for more information.

With the policy in place, users can now share their calendar with users in the external domain.

User's image The external user will now get an invite to open the shared calendar as shown:

This is going a bit sideways..

I know Sharing Rules etc., what I am looking for is how exactly users in partner tenant can open our room calendars without the need for us to send invites to each user in partner tenant?

In our own tenant, where these room resources are situated, we can just open the room list in Outlook and choose those room, where we want to see their calendars.

But how exactly users in the partner tenant can open these room calendars without the need for invites for each room for each user in partner tenant?
