You could try to use an image processing library and an STL file parsing library.

Use the STL file parsing library to read the triangle face information in the .stl file. Commonly used parsing libraries include PCL (Point Cloud Library), VTK (Visualization Toolkit), etc.
Use an image processing library, such as OpenCV, to convert the read triangle surface information into the corresponding image. According to the graphic characteristics of the surface, different image feature extraction algorithms can be selected, such as edge detection, color histogram, etc.
Save the resulting image as a .jpg file.
Notes:
- Since the sides of the .stl file may contain special symbols such as numbers and letters, visual interference may occur when the sides are converted into images, and the images need to be further processed and optimized.
