First I would recomend to migrate to the new version of storage account , even if you will leave data as backup , you can get additional benefits like archive data with less cost .
On the other hand if you still required to leave data on storage account classic the documentation refeer that you can access to this data by data SDKs therefore Microsoft.Azure.Storage.Blob is officially retired and is not supported or maintained and you will need to switch to Azure.Storage.Blobs package. Additionally if you are using tools such us Azure Storage explorer you need to check if they will continue supporting classic access by the release notes .(https://github.com/microsoft/AzureStorageExplorer/releases)
