After 20 plus years of fighting to keep up with the software hardware revolution I am pragmatic about the softening and less mentally draining functionality we are beginning to see with AI development, cloud services, faster speeds, internet expansion, and most of all module inclusion and drivers supplied during OS installations and clean reboots. What would take all day - and then all week with programs needing numerous time consuming tweeks, can now be mostly acheived in just an hour or two. My first computer from Dell was a maintenance nightmarish disfunctional mis sold PC (not the one I ordered) and though the model,RAM,Storage size, and large cube monitor (instead of the flat one in the brochure) all conspired to create the worlds first troll failing to understand that being rude online with frustration and anger growing with each new day just cuts you out of Help and support services - I had 2 visits from the Tech guy (nice bloke) and 3 different variety packs of DVD software and drivers. Nice bloke cos he saw I had one stick of Ram and sogot me the other from his car... apps are definately an improvement on someof those massive programs - and I am seeing more why less settings can be benefitial. I only use one main account and profile now going forward - using the other 4 accounts and profiles just created buckets of issues with codes and verifying after almost every click of the mouse or new tab - ok i didnt find it easy to dump what i paid for but theres less stress when you use just one mostly... mainly... and buying software beats cracking games from pirate bay riddled with malware and viruses - oh yes I was the troll that felt justified to steal games and movies cos his Rumplestiltskin stubbornness was bigger than his ego! - things are moving on so fast anyway it would be silly to pursue the idea of holding onto the vertual PC inside the other virtual PC. I bought every OS since 2000 from microsoft but I bypassed the Windows 11 hardware restrictions by watching some amazing people on youtube. So now I have a desktop potato that runs like a monster with 24 (dont laugh) gigs of ram, 2 terrobytes of storage, 4 gig graphics capable of 4k uhd and a 4k monitor - luckily microsoft hasnt been as cruel about this so far... and so I paid for the 365 family to share with my other rarely used accounts and gamepass ultimate so ... I guess thats fair ...ish and now I only get angry when some swatty gamer puts a few bullets between my eyes in GTA 5 online ... which I play mostly every day ... for far too long... Cloud gaming is really good too - imediate access in seconds with top of the range speeds and graphics - who knows - I might even turn into a half contented hippy insomniac social butterfly...yet. especially if I finally get any joy from those rewards points !
