So I have 60 GiB of storage used in the "Temporary" folder but when I click it nothing shows up. When I go into TreeSize and delete the temp folder it still shows up that the temporary folder is using 60 GiB. Can anyone explain why and how to clean it up? (I already tried disk cleanup)

Temporary folders in Windows 10 often contain hidden files that don't show up in a regular folder view. TreeSize might have deleted them, but the overall storage space used by the folder might not have reflected the change yet.

Sometimes, temporary files are hidden or marked as system files. You can try enabling the option to show hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Open Command Prompt as Admin and try the following commands:

Type cd %temp% and press Enter.

Type del * /s /q and press Enter. This command will delete all files in the Temporary folder.

you can try using third-party cleanup tools like CCleaner.

This is a known issue. I have the same issue. Has nothing to do with what files are actually there or not. Windows gets confused and since it aggregates data together it is very difficult to figure out where it is even looking to find the total. It does seem to include files from other users as well so if your machine has multiple user accounts then it seems to include them all. But trying to clean up the files will do nothing in my experience but also not display any errors.
