SCCM - AspNetCore.App & Microsoft.NETCore.App - Updates via SCCM

Question

Hi

We often need to update:

Microsoft.AspNetCore.App 6.0.29 [C:\Program Files\dotnet\shared\Microsoft.AspNetCore.App]

Microsoft.NETCore.App 6.0.29 [C:\Program Files\dotnet\shared\Microsoft.NETCore.App]

I cannot find this software in SCCM > SUP > Products

Only shows these:

Is there a way to have them updated via SCCM?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Products – Updates for .NET Core will be published under .NET Core 2.1, .NET Core 3.1, and .NET 6.0 products in WSUS. These products are nested under the Developer Tools, Runtimes, and Redistributables top level product.

Classifications – Updates for .NET Core will be published under one of the following classifications based on the contents/payload: Security Updates, Critical Updates, or Updates.

Hi Everyone,

Selecting .NET6 will patch both programs.

I did the deployment as available instead of enforced > run the install > updated both programs: AspNetCore.App & Microsoft.NETCore.App
