I tried creating an Azure Synapse workspace. After clicking on the final 'review+create' option & it was getting deployed, I received an error (image below).

However, I can see a storage account & a synapse storage account created. Only the workspace shows the location error. How can I resolve this?

    Hi @Jeenia Bhadra
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for posting your question here.

The error message you're receving states that the 'southindia' region is not accepting the creation of new Windows Azure SQL Database servers for your subscription.

This can happen when a particular Azure region has reached its capacity for certain services or when there are restrictions placed on new resource deployments.

To resolve this issue, you have a few options.

First, you can try creating the Synapse workspace in a different Azure region where the service is available. This may require adjusting your architecture, but it can be a quick and effective solution.

You can check Azure Service Health to see if there are any known issues affecting the 'south India' region. Azure Service Health provides personalized alerts and guidance when Azure service issues affect you. It can inform you if there are any known issues with Azure services that might be affecting your ability to create resources in the 'south India' region.

If you're still unable to create the Synapse workspace, you can contact Azure Support to file a support request to enable the region for your subscription. This can be a more time-consuming process, but it can be effective if you need to use the 'south India' region.

Additionally, you can check if the necessary resource providers are registered for your subscription. The necessary resource providers for Synapse workspaces is Microsoft. Synapse and Microsoft. SQL. If they are not registered, you can register them through the Azure portal.

Finally, you can check if there are any subscription quotas that are preventing the creation of new resources. You might need to request an increase in your quota limits.

It's important to review the specific requirements and dependencies of your project to determine the best course of action.
