After deploying my function app, I'm seeing this error

The binding type(s) queueTrigger were not found in the configured extension bundle. Please ensure the type is correct and the correct version of extension bundle is configured.

I see that Microsoft.Azure.Functions.ExtensionBundle version has been bumped to 4.17.0 which was released couple of days ago. Is there a bug there? Does anyone know what the issue is? Azure Function makes it impossible to change the extension bundle version.

Please don't respond with clear gpt answer nor old stackover flow or github issues. I clearly looked at all those avenues and couldn't find any answer.

Can you please confirm how you are creating the queue trigger, language, function core version? Can you try uninstalling all the previous version of function core tool and only install the latest function core tool and confirm if you still observe the same behavior?

You can also try removing all the previous version of ExtensionBundles from C:\Users{yourusername}.azure-functions-core-tools\Functions\ExtensionBundles\Microsoft.Azure.Functions.ExtensionBundle and then install only the latest function core tool and see if it resolves the issue.

The error could observe if there is overlap of different function core tools or ExtensionBundles and the right templates couldn't be found for the specific version template.json you don't see the binding. In your case it was not able to find the queueTrigger binding for under the staticContent/programing version (v1 or v2) you are using.

I'm creating the queue trigger from azure.durable_functions library

I believe I'm on function core version 4.17.0.

This is what I have in host.json

"extensionBundle": {

"id": "Microsoft.Azure.Functions.ExtensionBundle", "version": "[4.0.0, 5.0.0)"

},

Unless you are asking for the python library

azure-core = "1.29.5"

Rest of your comment is irrelevant seeing how I am creating a docker container and deploying that for Azure Functions.

To add further, all of this was working and without making any changes, I'm seeing this error.

@engineer Thanks for your response. In your initial question it was not sure whether you are using the Azure function docker. The comment is valid when you are using the Azure function using core tool in your local machine. For any issue with Azure function docker you can always reach out to experts here by creating a new issue.
