The original person that signed up for the Azure account is no longer employed with us. I had the billing ownership transferred to my account and had them deleted from our account. Our grant was renewed and it said it was listed under their username; however, after attempting to log in under their account, it says they do not exist. The credits do not show up under my account although I am the global & billing admin. How do I activate the credits?

Hello @Thomas Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!

I see that you want to activate your Azure Non-Profit Grant Credits using your account. Because the previous employee who created the account is not with the company.

If the grant was renewed and it is listed under the original user's username, it is possible that the grant was not transferred to your account when the billing ownership was transferred.

To activate the credits, you can try the following steps:

    1. Contact the grant provider and explain the situation to them. They may be able to transfer the grant to your account or provide you with a new grant.
    2. If the grant provider is unable to help, you can try to locate the grant in the Azure portal. Go to the "Cost Management + Billing" page and select the "Subscriptions" tab. Look for the subscription that is associated with the grant and check if the credits are available there.
    3. If the credits are available, you can try to activate them by following these steps:
      • Go to the "Cost Management + Billing" page and select the "Subscriptions" tab.
        • Select the subscription that is associated with the grant.
          • Click on the "Add" button and select "Add credit".
            • Enter the amount of credits that you want to activate and click on the "Add" button.

If you are still unable to activate the credits after following these steps, you can contact Azure support for further assistance. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge.

    Hope this helps!
