i have my github acct attached to college email id, which i used to register for the hackathon to get my api key with. Now to perform building models in module 4 of Azure Cosmos DB, im not able to create resources since the azure portal is getting signed in with my personal email id which does not have any API key. And its not letting me sign in via my github since its attached to my college email id.
How do I get the API key now to use the resources freely?

    Hi Nandini Mishra,

I understand you're facing difficulties using your API key for the Azure OpenAI Service in module 4. Here’s an explanation and some potential solutions to help you navigate this issue:

    Current Issue:

You're encountering a roadblock because your Azure portal is signing you in with your personal email ID, while your API key is associated with your college email ID. This mismatch is preventing you from accessing the necessary Azure OpenAI resources.

    Why This Happens:

Azure OpenAI is currently in limited access to ensure its responsible use. This means that obtaining an API key for personal use isn't feasible at this time. The service is primarily intended for organizational accounts.

    Recommended Actions:

    1. Explore College Resources: Many educational institutions offer cloud credits or access to enterprise-level Azure subscriptions for students. These resources often come with pre-approved access to Azure OpenAI, bypassing the need for a separate API key. Please check with your college's IT department to see if such resources are available to you.
    2. Stay Informed: Microsoft Azure is continuously evolving. As Azure OpenAI availability expands, personal email IDs might eventually gain access. Keeping up to date with these developments will allow you to take advantage of new opportunities as they become available.

We understand your eagerness to utilize these powerful tools and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the current restrictions. Seeking support through your college should help you overcome this hurdle.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you need further assistance or have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
