Hello,

I'm learning for the AI102 exam for Azure and one of the modules want you to sign up for the Azure OpenAI access. However, the webform asks you for Company information in order to provide access. I don't have a company and can only provide my personal email.

How does one trying to learn about the OpenAI Azure service go about this?

Please advise.

Thank you.

    Hi Ravdeep Rana,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Accessing the Azure OpenAI service can be challenging for individuals who are not associated with a business. Currently, Azure OpenAI service requires a registration process and is only available to approved enterprise customers and partners. This means that individuals without a company affiliation may face difficulties in gaining access.

According to the Limited access to Azure OpenAI Service, customers wishing to use Azure OpenAI must submit a registration form. Unfortunately, there is no alternative route for personal accounts at this time. This policy is in place to ensure the service is used appropriately and managed effectively.

If your access request to Azure OpenAI service doesn't match the acceptance criteria, you can use OpenAI public API instead.

The subscription plan Azure for Students and the free trial subscriptions no longer allows for Azure OpenAI use.

Also, your subscription should use be a pay as you go account to ensure Azure OpenAI deployments are successful once your request is approved. More info here and here
