0x80070643 Error installing Azure Sphere SDK

I'm getting "0x80070643 Fatal error during installation" when trying to install Azure Sphere SDK. The issue happens when installing Tap Drivers, I can confirm I have no instance of this previously installed in my computer. After the installation fails, Windows Tap Driver appears properly installed in Device Manager, I Uninstall Device (and drivers also) and retry installation, same error. I have no other VPN software installed.

I tried the steps described in the article, notice that those steps assume installation worked but Azure Sphere tools fail to connect to the device. In my scenario the installation of the SDK is failing and rolling back so I can only perform up to step #3 in that article (Uninstall any previous existence of Tap Driver) and then try to reinstall SDK. I can't run step #4 because Azure Sphere failed installation and there are no TapDriverInstall.ps1 file in the ProgramData/Azure Sphere folder.

Hello @PaulForney-3559 - Were you able to resolve the issue? If the issue still exists, can you try the following:

Do you have any VPN software on the PC? Azure Sphere SDK configures a network adapter on the PC. If you have a VPN software, uncheck the VPN setting from Azure Sphere network settings.

I'm not sure whether it will help you or not, I too had the SDK error and this is what I did.
You can also restore using Restore points instead of resetting your PC if you have any.
