Broken USB and CMOS battery

Hi,

I have two questions.

First, my laptop turns on with the date and time of latest turn off and BIOS date is set to 2015 or 2019. I do not remember exactly. I tried all things. However, it did not change. So, I think I should change CMOS battery. Can I change it at home? Is there a video which explains how to do it appropriately? What should I consider while buying a CMOS battery? And where to buy in Turkey?

Secondly, 2 of my USB drivers are broken. There are 3 in total. Other is working. These two is side by side and plastics in them is blue colored. Plastic in the working one is black colored. They are visible on device manager. I removed and added them. I updated their drivers but situation did not change. I have a desk lamb which works with USB. When I plug it to the one of the broken ones. It turns on, but the other broken one does not. I tried connecting mouse and a flash drive. They did not work. I normally, used my mouse with one of the broken ones. It suddenly stopped working. It did not take any physical impact from outside. Do you have any other solution?

    Yes, you can replace the battery at home. Watching related videos will be helpful.

    Search online for your laptop model + "CMOS battery replacement" or "BIOS battery replacement". You should find a user manual or video tutorial that walks you through the process.

    You may consider buying online or, computer retailer shops.

    USB issue:

    Test the ports with a different mouse, flash drive, or other USB device.

    In Device Manager, right-click on the malfunctioning USB ports, select "Uninstall device", and check the box to "Delete the driver software for this device". Then, restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers.

    • Visually inspect the USB ports for any physical damage or debris.
    • If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, the USB ports may have a hardware fault that requires professional repair.

    Thank you for posting in the Q&A forum.

    The CMOS battery is usually a lithium coin cell of model CR2032 on your motherboard, which makes it easy to be replaced.

    Since the USB drives show up fine in Device Manager, please open Disk Managemet from the start menu and make sure the disks are online and the volumes on the disks are Healthy. Additionally, each volume usually has a disk drive letter. If the volume does not have a drive letter, you can right click on it, select Change Drive Letter and Paths to assign one to it manually.
