We would like to use Opencensus in Azure Data Bricks with Python for logging with Azure Monitor. Could you please let me know how reliable this library to use in our application and any Microsoft support available in case of any product issues?

Hello @TanguturiNaresh-5821,

OpenCensus and Opentracing have merged and are now OpenTelemetry.

They support Azure Monitor as a back-end and do have Python libraries. Though they are open source, they are effectively Google products, and it's not something that Microsoft would support. That's the whole point of Open Source though, let the community support it.

In case, if you have any issues you need to get-help by opening a new Github issue on opencensus-python repo.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
