v4 - Nested Virtualization?

Hi,

Does anyone know if v4 instances should support nested virtualization?

The original documentation specifically mentions v3, but that dates back to 2017. I can't get a v3 instance due to the capacity issues, but v4 doesn't appear to be supported as I get an error when trying to add the Hyper-V role. Just wanted to know if I should troubleshoot the issue, or whether it isn't supported.

Thanks,

David

This machine runs the AMD EPYCTM 7452 processor. AMD processors do not support nested virtualization at this time in Azure.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/user-guide/nested-virtualization

Intel is called out under prerequisites as the only supported processor at this time.
