Hi,

I created a user, welcome in Windows 10. I want to give him access to a drive but the user must not be able to make changes in the drive like adding or deleting a file or folder. And I tried permission like below.

Because of above permission, the user is not able to create a file/folder but he can delete.

Please let me know, what type of permissions are required so that the user can't make any changes in the contents of drive. He can only read, view or play (if any multimedia file).

With Regards

    @NndnG
    Hi,

    Click "Edit..." to grant or deny the five standard permissions for each group or user that has access to the file: Full Control; Modify; Read and Execute; Read; and Write.

    Allow the option Read, deny the other permissions, this should help you.

    Hope above information can help you.
