AzureADPasswordProtectionProxy exception error after failed setup

Good morning,

I messed up when going through the Authenticator process when installing the Azure ADPasswordProtectionProxy setup.

Now when I attempt to use my admin account again I get "Cannot process argument because the value of the argument "exception" is null. Change the value of argument "exception" to a non-null value.

However, I would prefer not to create a new domain admin account to complete the setup. Is there a way to clear the error so I can register the AzureADPasswordProtectionProxy software?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bill

I was just able to run the Register-AzureADPasswordProtectionProxy successfully without error. Looks like maybe things are working now!

Just checking in to see if you had a chance to look into Saurabh's previous response, As Saurabh mentioned, please try to uninstall the password protection software before running the setup again. That error is sometimes related to wrong file paths so something may have gone wrong with the save folder for the installation.

I would also recommend checking the connectivity troubleshooting in the guide:

Still not with me, unfortunately :( Also with the switch for the device code does not lead to success. It remains with the![8353-aadpasswordprotectionproxy-register-deviceswitch-p.png][1] HTTP 400 Bad Request Error. You can see it in the Screenshot from the Registration Log.
