transfer legacy app ownership

In Home/App registrations, I have an app listed as 'Applications from personal account' and I need to transfer it to 'Owned applications'. For personal apps, it is written that: These applications are associated with the account **@**.com but are not contained within any directory. They are shown here so you can manage them, but will not be available to other users or admins in this directory.

This legacy app was created outside Azure, and was transferred probably via my email. I now need to add it to my organisation, as it seems that social login does not work without it, and I need to give access to my colleagues.

I followed the steps here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/manage-apps/add-application-portal but couldn't find my app in the list, as it is a personal app, not belonging to any directory at the moment.

We can not just create a new App, as we have a large list of active tokens.

Azure chat support told me to write this ticket as they didn't find the solution. Can anyone help me with this?

    hi there,
Do you have control over the custom domain, which associates / owns the app?
if yes, I think you add the custom domain to your Azure AD org ?

Hope this works. I haven't tried with a personal app before, but I think it may solve your issue

    Hello, thanks for answering.

I added and verified my domain both in my active directory and in my personal app.

How can I now use the fact that they are linked to the same domain to transfer access? The personal app is still only visible in in the personal apps folder. I can not search for it when browsing through apps in my active directory, so there seems to be no settings available I could use to make this transfer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have a large list of active tokens linked to our app, so we can not just delete it and make a new one.
