FSLogix and Crystal Reports Runtime

Has anyone had any issues with FSLogix and Crystal Runtime ?

We use a construction application called which apparently uses crystal runtime for displaying reports. When user logs into Citrix with FSLogix profile, reports simply don't launch and errors with Invalid TLV record. Bypassing FSlogix ...in other words putting the user into fslogix exclude list OR even RDP straight into the server launches the reports without any issues.

Have tried turning off redirections.xml as well but no luck.

Software vendor hasn't been able to crack this either.

Looking for some understanding of the issue or perhaps some FSlogix setting I'm not aware of. Any tips or clues to help resolve this would be much appreciated. Thank you

Sam

    Hi there,

I managed to get the above to work by undertaking the following :-

    Copied avicap32.dll, msvf32.dll and unicows.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)*vendors directory*\Bin folder
    Copy atl.dll, cxlibw-1-6.dll and msvcp60.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin folder
    Copy unicows.dll to C:\Windows\sysWOW64 folder
    Copy unicows.dll to C:\Windows\system32 folder

Crystal reports now launch from Citrix VDA with FSLogix as profile manager.

    Hello @Ambaram, Samit

Sorry not know much about Crystal Reports Runtime, here I collect some info about FSLogix exclude list and redirections.xml , which I hope can provide you some inspiration.

"If desired, the admin can specify that parts of the user profile are persisted in the profile container. Exclusions are done with a redirections.xml file. The redirections.xml file instructs the FSLogix agent to redirect specific folders out of the profile container and into the local C: drive. Any part of the profile that is excluded is deleted at sign-out."

Members from Fslogix exclude list means their profiles will not be redirect , their profiles that would remain local.

    Hi @Karlie Weng

To rule out any redirections, I have already tried disabling redirections.xml from group policy and tried running the reports but the issue still prevails. Bypassing FSLogix or logging into the VDA via RDP works fine for the same user account.
I am wondering what would the possible cause of crystal reports not being able to display the reports when FSLogix comes into play ? Logs are revealing anything meaningful either.

    Any further clues ?

    Sam
