Azure Data Studio compatibility with Apple M1 chip

Hi everybody. I am a Product Manager and I use Azure Data Studio to query the database quite extensively. I am thinking about switching to an Apple MacBook Pro machine with the new Apple M1 chip. I would like to know if I will have problems with it or not. In other words, will Azure Data Studio work with an Apple M1 chip machine or will I have problems? Thanks!

I'm running MS SQL on a linux docker image - no problems at all although I did have some issues ensuring that SQL Server agent was running.

Hi @FrancescoBria,

Azure Data Studio can work with an Apple M1 chip machine. According to MS document, below system support Azure Data Studio.

Are there any plans to release a native Apple Silicon version of Azure Data Studio? The current app runs through Rosetta 2 in Electron framework, which isn't optimised. As VS Code has already supported Apple Silicon native version, maybe it is not too difficult to build Azure Data Studio?

Same here with me, i think its not a credential issue. my credential is working on SSMS but failed on ADS

I can't see that this has any relation to this thread. You obviously have Azure Data Studio up and running. The you seem to have some credential error, but that has no relation to what chip you are using. I suggest that you start a new thread and explain from the beginning what you are trying to do.
