I have been trying to set my default browser from I.E. to Chrome. I'm using Windows 10 Enterprise 1809.

I am able to set the default browser to Chrome and it stays until I restart my computer, then it reverts back to I.E.

Any ideas on how to have this stay as Chrome are appreciated.

1.Right click on start, Task Manager

    2.Click on more details

    3.Go to Details tab

4.Find explorer.exe, Right click, Click, End Process ; (Do not close Task Manager)

5.Go to file, Run new task, type explorer.exe and check create this task with administrative privileges. OK

6.Go to start, Setting, Apps, Default Apps, Web Browser, Click on Microsoft IE, select your browser.

    7.Restart

    Hello,

Chrome uses several tasks and services, which might be the cause. Uninstall your Chrome, then go to Google and download the latest release, re-install, during install it will have the Make Chrome your default browser already check marked. This should fix your problem.
