November Transactions "Unprocessed"

Partner Center has traditionally paid out in the second month following a month of transactions.

For example...
September 2020's transactions were paid out in November 2020.
October 2020's transactions were paid out in December 2020.

Now...
November 2020's transactions, which would be expected to be paid out in January 2021, are still at this writing "Unprocessed".

Is there a problem processing them, or has the timeline policy changed?

Thanks for the reply. Just some feedback: since moving the Windows Dev Center forums to Microsoft Q&A, it's been a challenge figuring out the best way to contact you folks with issues. Just finding the right tag out of hundreds is daunting.

In retrospect, I should have looked a level below "Dashboard" for opening a ticket but was deterred because "Dashboard" doesn't jump out at you as a place to log a payout issue. It's easy to think "Dashboard" is about reporting issues with the Partner Center webpages, not any underlying back-office business process like payouts.

I love selling in the store, it's become an awesome income stream, but getting help is a real challenge.

Not yet. I opened a ticket immediately as suggested, and there's been back-and-forth asking me for screen shots of the relevant transactions in Partner Center and what the expected payout was. I was asked for more detailed transaction information yesterday, and that's where we are at this writing on January 15. January should have been paid by now, and the November transactions are still in "unprocessed" state.

I must admit I'm very surprised that whenever I have payout issues (this is the second one since selling in the store 18 months ago), I have to provide screenshots of things in Partner Center. As if they can't look at the state of things in my account myself.

I also opend a ticket. I noticed that Payments page contain information "Next estimated payment" with the amount of payment. It has the same value with "Estimated payment month of February 2021" on transaction history page and has status "Upcoming" last update 4 January.

Maybe they changed something. I will wait answer from support team.

Hi Alexander:

I saw and reported the exact same thing about the January 4th update, but the underlying transactions that made up that number still in "unprocessed" status showing estimated payout in February. I pointed out this inconsistency with screen shots. But no answer what's going on yet.

I asked point-blank if this was a change in payout policy or a bug. A month's transactions have been always paid in the second month after, for example:

September 2020's transactions were paid out in November 2020.

October 2020's transactions were paid out in December 2020.

Therefore, unless there was a policy change, November 2020 should have been paid this month.

I wanted to pay Christmas bills with this month's payment. I wonder if I will still get it or will need to wait until February. Something is definitely not right.

I got an email this evening that my payment was deposited into my payout account. The transactions show in Partner Center as "upcoming". I'm not going to argue ;-)

Me too. I hope they will correct the statistics for the next month.
