How to send teams channel meeting invites from personal address

We just have created a free tenant for Teams and played around with the meeting functionality.

When creating a planned meeting from a channel and inviting someone external, the invite is sent via the O365 group mail address. However, as we are using a hybrid environment with just AAD Connect and nothing else, we do not have the mailbox for this channel created. This leads to the problem that when someone accepts or declines the meeting request he/she gets a "no such mailbox" in return.

Question: Is it possible to send the meeting invitation from the "personal" eMail-address of the creator? e.g. s.halbig@ssss .com instead of group123@ssss .com?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

How did you use O365 group mail address to schedule Teams channel meeting?

In my experience, you can schedule Teams channel meeting with your personal email address to invite external user to join it. The following steps are for your reference:

1.Login on your Teams client and schedule Teams channel meeting.

2.Channel meeting will appear your Teams channel. Then click Teams meeting details and send the meeting link to external users.

3.External users can paste the link to the browser and join it via web client or desktop client.
