How to display SUM Total in SharePoint 2016 DataSheet Quick Edit Mode?

I am currently using SharePoint 2016 and I want to be able to display the SUM Total at the bottom of the column during Quick Edit Mode in Datasheet View. This feature used to be available in older SharePoint Datasheet Versions and it is annoying to constantly hit Stop Edit to get a count or sum of items.

Hi @Paul316-8474,

Which older version of SharePoint did you use to support this feature?

In SharePoint server 2016, there is no OOB way to display SUM total on the bottom of list which is in Datasheet View.

When the list is in Quick Edit mode, values in field are dynamic, it is not possible to calculate count or sum of items dynamically.

Total for a calculated column is available in SharePoint 2010 datasheet view. The same is not available in Standard view though. We migrated from SharePoint 2010 to O365 and face same issue. It is such a useful feature and instead of adding few more beneficial features to end users not sure why Microsoft has removed this entirely.
