How to open link in a new browser window using term store??

Hi,

i have an issue with term store meta data navigation. i am trying to open a link in a new window but its opening in the same tab. i just put link in the simple link or header section in the term store. is there a way using term store i could open the link in new tab/browser window? any suggestions?

Fyi, this classic page in SP online. If it’s not possible to open in a new window using term store what else other options available?

Thanks in advanced

Thanks for your reply. yes, i want that functionality to open in new browser window but not doing by right click. i want to open in new window once they click on the header itself. so i have a tab with link in global navigation and want to open that link into new browser window once they click that header. is that possible?

@raki-3122,

No such OOTB interface is available to set it in SharePoint Online. Holding down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and click the navigation link is also an alternative. If you insist on directly clicking the link without any other operations, you have to implement SPFX extension to inject CSS or JS to SharePoint Online page. Take a reference to the following links:

Hi @raki-3122,

Could you find "open in new tab(window)" options if you right click on the managed metadata term set navigation?

As displayed in the above snapshot, "link" is a managed metadata term set navigation attached with a simple link in my SharePoint Online classic site. I could open it in a new tab or window via right click on it. So is that what you want? Please feel free to let me know if i misunderstand.
