Hello,
A member of our Team recently upgraded their home router to a Google Router (model GJ2CQ). This member can connect with the VPN, but they can no longer use SSMS to connect to our Azure Managed Instance SQL database which they had been able to do prior to the router upgrade.
This individual is not the only member to have experienced this issue with a Google router. Has anyone else dealt with this or something similar?
The error message received when attempting to access our Azure MI via SSMS is:
*Cannot connect to <>.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - No such host is known.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)*
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
