Hello,
Forgive my primitive question, however I would like to know if there is a way to save conversation history for MS Teams in outlook as we used to do in Skype For Business. If not, then why? I have been using using for a year+.
Hello,

It is actually saved within your mailbox, however the folder in which its stored is hidden/not exposed in any client. Reason being Microsoft wants you to use the Teams client for that, however stupid that client is with respect to accessing older chats, even years after release. The copies stored within your mailbox are only used for compliance purposes.
Hi @igombs,
As michev said above, conversation history is actually stored in Exchange Online User Mailbox and group mailbox. The architecture picture shows the service dependence for your reference:

Teams conversation history may well be stored in my Exchange mailbox, but I am unable to view and search it from the Outlook desktop client nor the web interface.
The crux of this question is a regression in functionality when transitioning from Skype to Teams: with Skype, I could search both email and chat conversation history at the same time; with Teams, I cannot. The impact of that regression has not yet been acknowledged here, and no solution has yet been provided.
Hi @igombs,
Do you have any further issue on this topic?
Hello friends, thanks for sharing those insights however I still have a question, when you say Exchange online, do you mean OWA?
