Updating Edge Failing

Hello,

I am use SCCM and GPO to manage our fleet or devices. I have captured a new image with the new Chromium based Edge included in the build.

The image also contains office 2019 and Windows 10 Education 20H2.

The Help - > About update method is failing every time with the following:

An error occurred while checking for updates: There was a problem downloading the required files. Error: 0x80190193. (error code 7: 0x80190193 -- system level).

I have the rest of the GPO settings working as expected otherwise.
Is there something I am missing that is preventing the app from updating?

Hello,

My client updated to the current version silently over the weekend. I downgraded to 87 and tied the check in manually and that worked as well.

Everything appears to be working as it should have all along, thank s for your help.

Go to Settings->About Microsoft Edge, check information here.

Usually Edge will update itself automatically. If still no help, simply reinstall Microsoft Edge (no need to uninstall)

1.Exit all browser sessions
2.Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge from a non-Edge browser
3.Download Microsoft Edge, run the installer
