What is windows environment variable and where it is used for?
The Environment Variables are ‘pointers’ to specific items of information, e.g. locations of important folders and processor information.
As you are unfamiliar with the variables, DO NOT change any of them. A full list of all the variables can be displayed by opening a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type cmd /k set (note the two spaces) and press Enter.
I agree with the previous posts response: If you are not familiar with the environment variables, then don't mess with them.
There must be a reason why you are asking the question, can you elaborate further on what you are trying to do?
