I had a older version of Microsoft Word on my computer, and I just bought it, I understand that I can get a free word through word, I tried, I went to Microsoft . com and put my info. in and I could not pull any Microsoft word, I hope that you can help me. The free online Word program is a lite version without all the features found in the desktop program. Word Online
You need to open a free OneDrive account to use the online program: OneDrive
As JohnKorchok answered, the free online Word program is Word Online.
To use this, you need to create a Microsoft account, then you may use this account login into Office.com, then select the Word Online icon.
Office Online saves your documents to your Microsoft OneDrive, per Microsoft account could use OneDrive free with 5 GB.
