When I switch to new outlook on my MAC it does not take my current preferences across for 'On My Computer' folders. I have several groups set up which I regularly use.
I have looked into preference and the reason appears to be that the setting 'Hide On My Computer Folders' is ticked, it is also greyed out so this option can't be changed. How do I get groups back or if necessary start creating new groups.

Well, I'm filing a complaint with my HR department that IT is forcing users to use substandard software that is missing key features because some group of miss guided inexperienced engineers decided to cut corners on their job. I need the local folders to function. If they don't function I will never endorse or recommend MS products on Mac and see what options corporate is willing to allow to save the millions of dollars in lost productivity. my my estimate, if you take 20k users and mess up work flows due to stupid mistakes, most of the time resulting in hours and days of lost productivity per person at a medium rage salary of say 80K ($27.40hr), for 12hrs ($328.80) per person affected multiplied by the number of users impacted (20,000) = $6,576,000 of lost productivity every time The Mac Office team takes a shortcut!

    Hi @REGINALD GRAHAM ,
    Welcome to our forum.
We understand that you have issues with "On my computer folder" in New Outlook for Mac, as I know, this folder is not supported in New Outlook for Mac now, and it would prompt when you turn to New Outlook:

For your requirment of "on my computer folder" in New Outlook, it's suggested to vote this idea in our uservoice, which is the official platform that Microsoft collect the suggestions on Outlook, it may increase the priority for our engineers to create a possible option or feature that can be included in the future updates of the program.

If you indeed need this feature now, as an alternative, it's suggested to turn off the new outlook and switch back :

Hope that would be helpful to you.

What has happened to all that product feedback and feature requests that was given to Microsoft, on the now defunct UserVoice?

Is this another classic example of corporate amnesia or the amputation of an offensive limb?

I move old emails to local folders as archived email sorted by year. I cannot live without local folder support in Outlook. The lack of this feature is a show stopper for me and others.
