Windows update right after autopilot

Hi,

Is there a Microsoft way, or another way to run Windows Update right after you have finished Enrolling device with Autopilot ?
What would be the recommended way.

Thanks for answers

The easiest way is to setup an update ring. It will kick in after the ESP has completed.

@andreasbright-4989 Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this issue, if we deploy a windows update ring policy via intune to autopilot devices, it will not update at once. The update time is still controlled by Windows.

The method that Nick provided, windows will update during ESP.

Thanks for understanding.

Really strange Microsoft have not implemented a better solution into Autopilot. This is related to security and is really important. Michael Niehaus solution works, but it should not be necessary to use a 3. party solution.

I tried using the offhours solution linked above, but after reboot ESP ends up stalling out and failing. Has anyone else seen this and or worked around it?
