can we apply SQL security patch on SQL instance of secondary logshipping database without applying on primary?

Hello,

my logshipping primary database instance is running on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP4-GDR) (KB4057116) - 11.0.7462.6 (X64) and secondary is running on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP4) (KB4018073) - 11.0.7001.0 (X64).
we have to apply Security update for SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 4 – 4532098( (QFE): Feb 11, 2020.

can we apply SQL security patch on SQL instance of secondary logshipping database without applying on primary? or what will be sequence?
