hi, some time ago (approx 19months) i set up a subscription for azure sql db. I didnt use it much and apparently am being charged on my credit card about $16 per month since aug-sep for a few hundred rows of data because its probably not free after a year. I probably ignored some emails about those charges and am just waking up.
I havent done anything with that data for about a year. it seems like the base unit charge is about $2.56 but honestly i dont know how that translates to $16 + per month because their graphs dont label axes and there is way too much information explaining their charge structure when all one wants to do is to reconcile the charge to what is being used.
had i known/remembered in aug-sep that charges would start accruing, I would have posted this question then. I wouldnt mind keeping my subscription (i think its called pay as you go) and diving a little more into the cloud based sql products. And while $16 per month isn't much i wouldnt mind keeping my subscription but not get charged for now for things i dont use. Otherwise i'll probably cancel my subscription.
Any thoughts?
