Sorry we couldnt find D:\Karen\Documents\Debt Reduction\Payments extended through Mar 2021.xlsx. Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?

I last used this file on Friday, February 19, 2021. I cannot access the file on my work laptop, nor my personal laptop. When I look at the properties there appears to be a file there but it just cannot be opened. This file as you can tell by it's name is critical to me. I have it saved on an external hard drive that I have used for well over 10 years. Thinking it is time to move the files to the cloud and forget about the external drive. Not sure if that is part of the problem. None of the suggestions I've seen have helped me access the file. It will not allow me to rename the file nor move it to another location. I look forward to receiving any help anyone can provide!

Did you sync this file to OneDrive? Was this synchronization not successful?

It will not allow me to rename the file nor move it to another location.

Is there any error message when you renaming or moving this file? If yes, please also share us for further analysis.

Does this issue occur with other files in the same folder on your external hard drive?
Or does just this Excel file could not be opened correctly?
I suggest you try to copy the whole folder "Debt Reduction" to other location, such as Desktop for a test.

I also suggest you go to Excel on one computer > File > Options > Add-ins > Manage, COM add-ins > Go, clear the check boxes for any enabled COM add-ins, select OK.

Please right-click the file > Properties > General, check whther there is Unblock option under the advanced options. If yes, please unblock this file.

If this file can be backed up successfully, it is recommended to repair the file.

Besides, if there is any security software on the computer, temporarily disable/quit it to check this issue.

-------------------------- Update --------------------------

When the external drive connected to different computers, the issues above only occur with this specific file, I think the file maybe corrupt.
- If all the steps above do not work, the file maybe lost.

If all files on external drive could not be opened, maybe there is something worng related to the external drive.
- I suggest you post a new thread about error code "0x80070570" on Q&A forum, and add the tag "windows-10-setup".
- I found a thread " Error Code 0x80070570 when copying files from External Hard drive to pc running win 7", you may have a look. But to avoid losing data, it is recommended to find an expert to check whether you could back up all important data first.

Hope the information could help you.
