As referenced here: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/fbc7608d-37ae-4881-8938-7ae82740a56b/how-do-you-set-default-programs-for-all-users-when-deploying-windows-81?forum=mdt, it is possible to export your settings, but when I look at the original OEMDefaultAssociations.xml file, and compare it to the exported version, it is missing some coding at the end of the line.

Example:
From OEM: <Association Identifier=".mp4" ProgId="AppX6eg8h5sxqq90pv53845wmnbewywdqq5h" ApplicationName="Movies & TV" ApplyOnUpgrade="true" OverwriteIfProgIdIs="AppXhjhjmgrfm2d7rd026az898dy2p1pcsyt;WMP11.AssocFile.MP4" />

From the export: <Association Identifier=".MP2" ProgId="WMP11.AssocFile.MP3" ApplicationName="Windows Media Player" />

So, I am curious why all of it is missing.

    Hi,

Can you please tell us where does the original OEMDefaultAssociations.xml file come from?

I think when you export your settings, the settings have been customized by you. While OEM default settings are the settings that set by OEM. Unless the settings have never been changed, exported and OEM Default Application .xml file won't look same.

I know little about this so please correct me if I'm wrong.
