Teams call drop issue. Hold on, looks like something went wrong. We're trying to get you back into the meeting.

Teams is dropping calls and the message is shown as Hold on, looks like something went wrong. We're trying to get you back into the meeting.
And withing 10-15 seconds the meeting gets connected again. This is happening after I open files, open software, or do anything apart from; being on the call/meet.

@PrasadRudrawar-7792,

Does this issue persist all the time? Or what changes do you do before happened?

Does anyone else have the same issue?

According to your description, it seems a conflict between Teams and other applications. You could perform a clean boot to eliminate whether this issue is caused by software conflicts.

Meanwhile, contact your IT admin to check your call quality in Microsoft Teams admin center as below:

This issue is happening with many of my classmates. And it is happening from a last 1-2 months.

I will try the clean boot.
But I don't have access to the IT admin. So options or suggestions for Admin side will not be useful to me.

Thank you.

Tried doing the clean boot, but the issue persists.

And sorry for late post, got caught up in school work.

Currently, the better way is to contact your IT admin to check your call quality.

Thank you, but as I said earlier, I don't have access to IT admin. So this is a dead-end it seems.

Thank you for the help.

This is not an "answer" or "solution", this is the panic button. This way nobody would ever find out root causes for frequent problems.

It is now 2022 and the problem still exists. It happens sporadically during high use times, depending on certain factors. It is NOT a network issue in most cases I came upon. The root cause seems to be either intransparent load balancing or an actual bug.
