FSLogix Installation Questions

I'm trying to deploy FSLogix within a VMware Horizon View v8 (2012) environment and utilize the Office Containers for users OneDrive / Outlook local caches. I'm wondering if a dedicated FSLogix server is required or if you just need to install the FSLogix App on each Win10 "GOLD Image" and configure the profile store locations on a network drive? Lastly, would this be a good solution for handling the OneDrive / Outlook caches/profiles along side VMware DEM for the primary profiles? Thank you.

Hi,

FSLogix solutions include:Profile Container, Office Container, Application Masking and Java Version Control. It simplifies the management of applications and 'Gold Images'. So we just need to install the FSLogix App on the computers that deploys in the on non-persistent environments.

Office Container redirects only areas of the profile that are specific to Microsoft Office, and is a subset of Profile Container. Office Container enables and enhances the Microsoft Office experience in non-persistent environments. Office Container will generally be implemented with another profile solution. Other solutions must be configured to exclude the portions of the profile managed by Office Container.
