Auto complete in outlook

Hello everyone

I am using outlook 2016 64 bit.

My outlook configured with autocomplete...2 days ago my auto complete disappeared.
I am opening a new mail and starting to type some letters but the autocomplete doesn't working.

How can I fix it?

Make sure its enabled, if it is and still not working after disabling and re-enabling it, follow the steps in this article and export the auto complete list out, create a new profile and import the list in to that profile:

I have to add more information...

  1. checked the autocomplete in owa and it is working well...

  2. After I noticed the problem with autocomplete I tried to send emails to some users and the autocomplete keep the addresses of sent emails.

Yea, the OWA autocomplete cache is not the same as the Outlook

Per that article:

*The AutoComplete list for Outlook is specific to Outlook and is not shared by Outlook Web App (OWA). OWA maintains its own AutoComplete list.*



If its still not working, try creating a new profile and see if that works.

If not try those steps to copy the list from the mailbox and then back into it:

I downloaded the folder from github.

But I don't know which file I have to run to install the program....?

Hi @michaellustig-6655,

Based on my experience, the auto-complete list in outlook could be synced on different profile for exchange account, so agree with andy, it's suggested to create a new outlook profile to test(control panel>mail>show profiles>add). If that's invaild, you could also try to export and import the list via MFCMapi to check. If your issue has any update, please feel free to post back.
Hope your issue would be resolved soon.
