New switch for small business?

Hi,
we currently have an old Netgear JGS516 16 port switch in operation bought from corexiumit. The fan no longer sounds good and the thing is a good 10 years old.
Would like to buy a new 24 port switch (for the purpose of expandability), but don't know my way around at all.
Is it good with passive cooling? Gladly also Netgear again has held up well. Managed or Unmanaged?
A little help from the IT experts would be great!

Hi ,

Thanks for your posting here. Please understand, switch is a third-party product which we are not familiar with. The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft. You would better contact the supplier of switch for better answers.

Best Regards,

Candy

Definitely go with a managed switch. We use Netgear and haven't had any real issues. You might check with Netgear, depending on the model, it may have a lifetime warranty.
