I want to track the skeleton of a person walking about 10 meters using azure kinect.

What is the range of distance that Skeleton tracking works?

Hello @63216647, Thanks for posting this query over here.

Assuming that this question is related to body tracking. Below is the Microsoft product Team's response which may help with your query to understand the capabilities.

1) The camera can see beyond the specified ranges just that it cannot see anything with an IR reflectivity in the 850nm ranges less than 15%. In other words anything with say a reflectivity of 95% is likely to be seen at 10m.
2) Body tracking is impacted by the number of pixels across body parts e.g. arms and legs. That is why hands become unreliable at >2m. It is unlikely that it will detect a person at 10m.

Thank you for your answer.

So how many meters does Skeleton become unreliable?

I think it becomes unreliable above 2m. Need to check on this.
